Tragedy strikes the robin family

As I posted yesterday, the mama robin lost 3 babies in all. 1 first thing in the morning and then 2 more were gone by the afternoon.

And sadly when I checked on them this morning the nest was empty and abandoned. I am guessing that a cat figured out where he could get an easy meal!

Very sad for the mother robin. I pray she has better luck next year!
